Budget for SBAC

  • $3,150 for student labor, $675 for WorkStudy, $15 for benefits - $3,840 total

  • $647.75 for Fall Board of Regents Conference, $491.32 for SHED Conference, $553.78 for Spring Board of Regents - $1,692.85 total

  • $700 for Dues and Membership Fee, $2,000 for Campus Activities App - $2,700 total

Senate Reports ​School of Education – Nothing to report

​​School of Fine Arts – Opera this Thursday and Friday, Band concert this Sunday at 3

​​College of Arts and Sciences – They recently returned from a research trip in the Bahamas; History Day is tomorrow

​​​School of Business – There is a PBL meeting on Thursday, they will be leaving for Minot to compete this weekend; Business trip over spring break to Florida was successful

​​​At Large – Nothing to report

​​Residence Halls – The re-hire process has begun; people should sign up for Northern’s got Talent night and The Challenge which will be held at McWelsh

Graduate School – Nothing to report

International – Nothing to report

Freshman – The psychology club is doing a recruitment project Scavenger Hunt

​​President – asked senators to contribute toward a gift card for President Downs’ wife, money is due by the 25th meeting; the new Elections committee consists of Alysha, Alexis, Brooke, and Pedram

Facilities - None

Governance – None

Public Relations – Having a meeting tonight

Finance – The SBAC meetings will be held next week from 5:30 – 9:00 Monday -Wednesday, Senators should come if possible

Ad-Hoc Constitution – Almost finished rewriting the new constitution, this week will be spent finalizing details; rather than having Senators meet with their faculty and deans within their colleges, there will be 2 town hall meetings for the students each semester; working on election requirements; the new Executive board has been formed; Senators are asked to bring laptops or iPads to the March 25th meeting to review the new constitution

Faculty Advisor Notes

Asked about access to old G-Mail account that is connected to social media accounts; working with Annika to resolve an incorrect billing for the SHED hotel rooms; there is only $60.97 left in the Student Association budget
